Live beta · Launching in the Netherlands & Austria

Your pet's whole life,
without a single form.

Take one photo. TailStory works out the breed, the build, the body condition and the age — then keeps the record current from a tap or a spoken sentence. Health, vaccinations, the EU pet passport, and an AI vet assistant that actually knows your animal.

The app, today

Not another pet app. A record that fills itself in.

A photo writes the profile. A tap or a sentence keeps it current. Nothing here is a form.

One tap for a whole day

TailStory learns your pet's ordinary day. One sentence becomes three entries you approve in a tap.

TailStory Doctor

Ask about your pet, not about pets.

"She's drinking more and eating less this week." A general AI knows about cats. TailStory Doctor knows about Luna — eleven years old, 4.2 kg, on thyroid medication since March, last weighed on Tuesday — and it answers out of a veterinary library we ingested and indexed ourselves, naming the book underneath.

Grounded in the record

Every answer reads that pet's own history first: weight trend, medication, vaccinations, logged routine.

Trained on the books, not the internet

Veterinary and animal-behaviour books, split into passages and searched by meaning — the book and chapter appear under every reply.

Reads photos, hears you out

Up to four images per question — a rash, a lab result, a vaccination card — and a microphone, so you can just say it.

Knows when to stop

Red-flag symptoms come first and "see a vet now" outranks everything. Never a diagnosis, never a dose.

Health intelligence

It watches the animal, not just the paperwork.

Point the camera at an ear, an eye, a paw — or at what the dog left on the lawn. The AI reports only what it can see, in fixed terms. What that means is decided by a clinical table written into the app, not by the model. No AI here ever decides how urgent something is.

1 · OBSERVE

The model says what it sees

Colour, consistency, blood, discharge, swelling — reported in fixed terms, with an honest flag when the photo is too poor to read or shows the wrong body part.

2 · DECIDE

A table says what it means

Those findings map to a signal and one of four urgency bands in code — with escalation for puppies, for seniors, and for a symptom that keeps coming back.

3 · ACT

One band, one clear action

Log it, watch it, book a vet, or call one now. Every check also fills in the day, so the ordinary use and the frightening use are the same three taps.

And it keeps watching

Weight falling too fast, drinking almost twice the usual, a cat that has not eaten in a day, a lab value out of range with no vet visit after it. Fifteen rules run over the record on a schedule — and only the two urgent bands ever send a notification, never more than one a day. An owner who gets three health alerts in an afternoon turns them all off, and the one that mattered goes with them.

Lab reports read themselves

Photograph a blood panel and the values land in the record under normalised names — Kreatinin, Creatinine and CREA are one line on one chart. A value is only ever flagged against the reference range printed on that page, because ranges belong to the laboratory that issued them.

What this is not

Not a diagnosis, not a dose, not a substitute for a veterinarian — and it is built so it cannot quietly become one. The honest description is the whole promise: it notices, and it tells you to ask someone who knows.

B2B2C

Not just for pet owners. For everyone who cares for them.

TailStory is B2B2C: one pet owner's record, one Partner Network for the sitters, pet hotels, shops and vets around it. Apply, get verified, subscribe for a profile and sponsored placement — and run it all from a separate TailStory Partner app.

A pet owner

One photo starts the record. Taps and spoken sentences keep it current — never a form.

One living record

Health, routine, weight, medication, the EU passport — current, because keeping it current is effortless.

What that record is worth to everyone around the pet

  • VetsA consultation that starts from a dated history and charted lab values, not from memory at the counter.
  • SittersThe Sitter Digest: routine, goals, dose times and house rules — already written, always current.
  • Pet hotelsThe same handover a sitter gets — printable, expiring, revocable — for every guest that checks in.
  • ShopsPicks specific to this animal, price-compared — relevance no storefront can see on its own.

And the network is built to run both ways: every clinic, sitter, hotel or shop that joins introduces its own clients — and every client's pet starts a new record.

Apply, then verified

ID and business verification before a profile goes live — the same bar sitters already clear.

Subscribe for placement

A profile, a verified badge, and sponsored placement — always labelled Sponsored, never bought organic rank.

A separate Partner app

Leads, bookings, ad performance and review replies live in their own app, off the pet owner's.

Never pay to delete a review

Respond publicly, or flag one you believe is fake for our team — a genuine review is never for sale.

Where this goes

One record. Three revenue lines. Then Europe.

PHASE 1 · NOW

The record, shipped

Photo-to-profile, effortless logging, voice, the medical timeline, the EU passport, Emergency Pass and Sitter Digest, a Doctor that cites its books, and a price-compared shop — live in beta, five languages. Shipping now too: the nine-area photo check, lab scanning and the trend engine, TailStory Plus (a 15-day Doctor trial, then unlimited Doctor and a second pet), and a Verified Shop tier for retailers wanting boosted placement.

PHASE 2

Partner Network

Sitters, pet hotels, shops and vets apply, get vetted, and subscribe to get a profile, a verified badge and sponsored placement in the app — always labelled Sponsored, never a paid deletion of a real review. Every partner runs it from its own TailStory Partner app: leads, bookings, ad performance and review replies, kept off the pet owner's app. The Sitter Digest becomes a booking next: Amsterdam and Vienna first, supply side first, 50 vetted, insured sitters before a single booking button appears.

PHASE 3

Europe

Germany and Belgium next, then EU-wide: per-country travel rules as data, local affiliate programmes, the Partner Network open to hotels, shops and vets in every new country, and a new sitter city only once the last one is liquid.

Why the Netherlands and Austria first

Two small, dense, high-spend markets at either end of the busiest pet corridor in Europe. The Netherlands is the most app-native pet market on the continent and our home base; Austria borders eight countries, so the EU passport question is routine there. Dutch and German shipped on day one, and a product that clears both clears Germany.

The edge

Diaries don't sell. Retailers don't record. Marketplaces don't know the animal. Sitters, hotels and vets have nowhere to advertise against a real record. Nobody holds the record and monetises every side of it at once — and the record is exactly what makes the rest work.

One record, three lines

Subscription monetises ownership, affiliate and Verified Shop monetise buying, and the Partner Network monetises every sitter, hotel, shop and vet the pet touches. They peak in different months or run flat underneath, and every one of them is paid for by the same asset: a filled, current pet record.

The raise

What the funding builds.

We're raising €350,000 now — the first tranche of a €600,000 pre-seed, with €250,000 released on measured milestones. Eighteen months to instrument the funnel, ship the subscription, and open sitter reservations in Amsterdam and Vienna. Every euro has a job:

Partner marketplace

15%

Stripe Connect payments, liability insurance, ID and business verification and vetting across sitters, hotels, shops and vets, and supply acquisition in the first two cities.

FAQ

The short answers.

What is TailStory?

TailStory is the pet health record that fills itself in. One photo becomes a structured profile; a tap or a spoken sentence keeps it current. That record then answers health questions with citations, stores the EU pet passport, briefs a vet or a sitter, and drives per-pet product picks priced across five retailers.

What does TailStory cost?

One pet's full record — logging, health score, weight, timeline, EU passport — is free forever, no trial. TailStory Doctor is free to try for 15 days from your first question; after that it's part of Plus. TailStory Plus is €5.99 per month or €44.99 per year and covers unlimited pets, unlimited Doctor questions, the document vault, the daily wellness check, household sharing and full record export. A second pet works fully for 14 days before you decide, and we never delete a pet's record.

Is TailStory Doctor a vet?

No. It is an assistant grounded in your pet's own history that answers out of a searchable library of veterinary and animal-behaviour books, names the book it used, and tells you plainly when to see a real vet. It never diagnoses and never prescribes.

Can TailStory spot a health problem from a photo?

It can report what is visible — the colour and consistency of a stool, discharge in an ear, redness on skin, a wound, a paw — across nine body areas. Those observations are then read against clinical tables written into the app, so the level of urgency comes from reviewed, tested rules rather than from a model's opinion, and you get one of four answers: log it, keep an eye on it, book a vet, or call one now. It never names a condition or a cause. It notices; a veterinarian diagnoses.

What is the AI actually trained on?

TailStory Doctor uses retrieval: a curated corpus of veterinary and animal-behaviour books is split into passages, indexed by meaning in our own European database, and searched on every question alongside that specific pet's record and medical history. The answer quotes what it found and names the book and chapter. Nothing about your animal is used to train anyone's model, and passport scans never reach one at all.

Where does TailStory launch?

The Netherlands and Austria first, then Germany, Belgium and the wider EU. The app already ships in Deutsch, English, Nederlands, Русский and Türkçe, and EU travel rules are encoded as data rather than prose — so opening a country is a store list and a listing, not a rewrite.

How does TailStory make money?

Three lines from one record: the Plus subscription, affiliate and Verified Shop commerce, and the Partner Network — subscriptions and ads from sitters, hotels, shops and vets, with a booking commission layered on once sitter reservations go live. Our ranking is never for sale: sponsored placements are always labelled Sponsored and never change the order you see first, and we never accept payment to remove a genuine review.

Can I list my sitting business, pet hotel, shop or clinic on TailStory?

Yes — that's the Partner Network. Sitters, pet hotels, shops and vets apply, we verify them, and a subscription gets a profile, a verified badge and the option to run sponsored placements, always labelled as such — all managed from the separate TailStory Partner app. You can respond publicly to a review or flag one you believe is fake for our team to look at — we never accept payment to remove a genuine one.

Why a separate app for sitters, hotels, shops and vets?

Because the two jobs are different. A pet owner wants a simple record for one or two animals; a business wants leads, booking notifications, ad performance and review replies — different data, different urgency, different screens. Splitting them keeps the pet owner's app free of a business dashboard nobody asked for, and lets the Partner app be built around exactly what a business needs.

Where can I get the app?

TailStory is on the App Store today. The Google Play release ships with the Netherlands and Austria launch — the Google Play badge on this page switches on the day it goes live.

Back the record every pet in Europe deserves.
